Had a lovely day delivering my lines and stitches workshop at Hartlepool Embroiderers Guild on Saturday. We made samplers in natural fibres looking at linear stitches, couching & some hems. Later in the day we explored ideas on colouring the pieces and how we can continue to work with new ideas.

![]() Hi Everyone I have been busy getting things ready for “The Cookie Jar Designers Market” next Saturday (9th March). It is the launch day for this new Arts & Crafts event at the Holy Biscuit, in Newcastle (opposite the Biscuit Factory Art Gallery). There should be lots of lovely things to see & buy. And coffee & cakes available! I will have lots of new pieces for sale – as its Mothers Day next Sunday so you might just see a nice gift or just want to come along for a look. Either way, if you are able to come along, please come & say hello. -Deb. Hello everyone, I've been busy working on lots of different projects, so I should have some new work to show you soon.
I've just found out that my Golden Strata triptych from the Mining a Golden Seam exhibition has sold - I am over the moon. (Just in case the Buyer looks at my Website – I would like to say a big Thank You) As you probably know I am a member of Newcastle upon Tyne Embroiders Guild, if you would like to keep up to date with what is happening with them they have a new Twitter account @EmbGuild Happy Stitching Just a little reminder to anyone in the Tyne & Wear area The Shipley Embroidery Group is on this Saturday 2pm - 4pm (every month, on the first Saturday of the month at The Shipley Art Gallery in Gateshead). Everyone is welcome just a couple of hours stitching in the company of fellow embroiderers. You don’t have to be very skilled –just keen, everyone is very helpful!
http://www.twmuseums.org.uk/shipley-art-gallery/visiting-us.html ![]() Had a great day yesterday at a workshop with Theresa Easton, "Introduction to print & bookbinding", held at her Lime Street Studio. We spent the morning printing (oh, I would really love a printing press!), & in the afternoon Theresa taught us various methods of book binding & how to fold & cut some of our prints into little art books. (Some of the books I made, pictured) Theresas work is very inspirational - you can see more about her & her work at http://theresaeaston.wordpress.com/ Happy stitching, printing, folding & cutting!, -Deb. ![]() Mining a Golden Seam is an exhibition by members of the North East Region of the Embroiders Guild recently showing at Alexander Palace London & Harrogate International Centre.
