Considering the environmental impact on nature created by waste and over production. No new materials have been purchased to create this piece. Made with fabric that has been previously used and repurposed. A combination hand & machine stitching, many of the threads and fabrics have been dyed with rust, tea and plant material. Old washers and buttons used as embellishment. The work has been mounted on cardboard furniture packing. I will be at a Handcrafted Boutique Event at Thirsk and Stowerby Town Hall on Saturday (9:30am -4pm).
Busy making lots of lovely things to take to the Bespoke Craft Fair at Alington House In Durham (on Saddler Street on the left where the road forks). If you are in the area it would be lovely to see you - This Saturday between 9:30am and 4pm

Had a lovely day delivering my lines and stitches workshop at Hartlepool Embroiderers Guild on Saturday. We made samplers in natural fibres looking at linear stitches, couching & some hems. Later in the day we explored ideas on colouring the pieces and how we can continue to work with new ideas.
Been a while since I posted any updates (Sorry- must do better!). Just thought I would let you know about an exhibition where you can see some of my work alongside lots of other talented northeast artists. Should be wonderful exhibition if you can make it. "Into The Woods" is at Woodhorn Museum from 16th February -22nd April. museumsnorthumberland.org.uk/ (below).... image from "Tree Rhythms" one of the pieces of mixed media textiles selected for in the Into The Wood exhibition at Woodhorn Museum.
